The History Boys is based around an unruly bunch of bright, funny sixth-form students who are in pursuit of only three topics in mind, sex, sport and a place at either Oxford or Cambridge University.

And, also following their several teachers, one being a Maverick English teacher, who is at odds with the young and shrewd supply teacher, a headmaster who is obsessed with results and a history teacher who thinks himself as a fool.

In Alan Bennet’s, classic and comedic play introduces staff room rivalry and the anarchy of youth, which is provoked with insistent questions about the topic of history and how you teach it, and about education with its purpose.
